Your message deserves to make an impact. Miriam will help make it engaging and memorable. Connecting you with your audience.
At the age of only 26, Miriam made it to the final five in the first series of The Apprentice UK, and notably received a public apology from Lord Alan Sugar after he fired her, admitting that he had made a mistake.
The programme was a spring-board for Miriam’s business and entrepreneurial interests. She moved back to the UK from the Caribbean, landing a job with Lloyds TSB heading up their Corporate Hospitality and Sponsorship programme. This role gave her essential first-hand knowledge of a major corporate company, and also the opportunity to work directly on the organisation’s partnership with the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
When the company restructured, Miriam decided that the time was right to concentrate on her own business interests and to develop her career as a speaker, presenter and dynamic facilitator for live and virtual events, ranging from company conferences to awards ceremonies.
Miriam has events and conferences running through her veins, with her extensive knowledge of the industry shaped through her years working for her parents' conference venue, and later managing a luxury boutique hotel in St. Martin; to setting up her own event management business and then running all of the corporate client events for one of the UK's major financial institutions.
She is now the founder and Managing Director of speaker management service Leading Minds Worldwide, a company which lives and breathes the impact that well-crafted and superbly delivered messages can have. The business supports clients with their communications strategies, learning, development and coaching programmes and executive leadership development, as well as placing the highest quality speakers into conferences and events.
Miriam has gained an enviable reputation in the market for her skilful event hosting and creative meeting design work, as well as for the value she adds to senior business executives and professional speakers coaching their presentation and communication skills, helping people to find their voice and deliver their messages with clarity and impact.
She is passionately committed to seeing people achieve outstanding results. By drawing on her extensive business background and other life experiences, she helps people believe in their ability to succeed, and their potential for greatness.
Miriam has two brilliant children, a modern languages degree from Bristol University and a love of adventure and travel that has taken her around the world for both work and pleasure.
Working with Miriam helped me to articulate my ideas, identify the message that I wanted to leave with my audience, associate what I was saying with powerful imagery that connected with the audience, as well as fundamentally giving me the confidence in the realisation that I had an important message to share. I really enjoyed my experience working with Miriam and found it rewarding as I now have a series of skills that I can apply to any future speaking opportunities.
Hanna McCloskey, RBS, 'Young Banker of the Year'
Thank you for delivering a huge positive enhancement to my event. You never fail to hit the mark. More than that, the way you invest your time, experience and intellect into making each event a success is so very much appreciated. I feel so lucky to have you to lean on each time and you are such a pleasure to work with. You’ll always be my first call when I need support with our event planning and design.
Paul McKinlay, VP of Comms & Remote Working, Vistaprint
Miriam's coaching support was pitched perfectly for us, and the experience was both enlightening and fun. We have all come away with an enhanced toolkit which will help us as communications professionals. I am particularly over the moon with our MD's session on the day; your work with him really showed.
Juliet Scott, Head of Internal Comms, Bupa International
Miriam quickly grasped the challenges facing the executive team and senior managers, ahead of preparing them for a series of face to face events. The extra confidence her coaching sessions gave to presenters helped them deliver a very successful series of events covering complex issues.
